"The dragonets are coming, they're coming to save the day...

A war is raging in Pyrrhia. A war that has been raging for almost twenty years. Three SandWing princesses are fighting for the throne to their tribe after their mother died, killed by a scavenger instead of by one of her daughters. The five tribes have been fighting in the war, each allied to one of the sisters. The NightWIngs, the legendary tribe with the ability to foresee the future, have given a prophecy that says that five dragonets hatched on the brightest night, a SkyWing, a SandWing, a MudWing, A SeaWing, and a NightWing, are the ones who will chose the next SandWing Queen and end the war.

But what if the SkyWing egg broke? What if it's replaced by a RainWing, the most "useless" tribe, instead? What if the dragonets run away? What if they chose to chose freedom over fate, and chose their own path? Every dragon wants the war to end, but under the surface, there are lies...plotting...secrets...danger.

What if nothing is what is it seems?

Oh. My. GOSH!

I didn't know that a series could be that good! I mean it when I say this: Tui T. Sutherland is a genius.

The writing style, throughout this entire series, was amazing. Every detail was brilliantly written, and every detail was brilliantly narrated. All five books in the series centers around a different one of the dragonets, and each book is told in third person POV.

I usually hate books that are written in third person, but this series is definitely an exception. I loved the writing style so much, and I liked each and every one of the dragonets in a different way, despite their different personalities. The way these books were written became one of my favorite writing styles pretty quickly.

I also love the world building. The way Pyrrhia is created is so incredible -from dragon politics to the way uniqueness of every tribe. I enjoyed reading about the other tribes, especially in book 3. So, 10/10 for world building.

And I have to say, I loved the characters. Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny were all relatable in different way (even though Glory is my favorite). The characters are all well-written and unique. None of them were shallow or cliche, and they all had their own problems and feeling and secrets.

This series are really full of surprises. Not only is the plot ideas AMAZING, but the plot twists and secrets are absolutely...incredamazing! There were plot twists and everything in books 1 and 2, but just wait until you get to book 3. Everything really kicks off from there! The plot twists were perfect. Shocking and unpredictable, but still logical.

I really have say this: I'm impressed.

I literally can't put into words how much I adored this series! This might be a middle grade series, but it is definitely worth reading. In my opinion, it should say "for all ages" on the back. You should absolutely read this! I highly recommend it. Borrow from a library or read online. If you're planning to buy it, I think that this series is definitely worth reading.

Bonus time: What is your favorite tribe? Mine are IceWings, but that's probably because of the other series...

Thank you for reading this book review! Comment what you thought about the series and any books that you think are worth reading!
